Silsden Juniors Noticeboard

Silsden under 16B team Eccleshill  tournament Sunday 11th May
played some good football in this tournament and started off by winning Prospect 2/0 they then went on to win the hosts Eccleshill 3/1 And in their last game before the semi final they beat Bradford tigers 3/1. So Silsden qualified for the semi final top of the group they then met Eccleshill for the second time and in a enthralling game which was decided on a penalty shoot out which Silsden won after they went to sudden death Silsden won 8/7. Silsden met Shipley Lions in the final who were also unbeaten in the tournament and this was a end to end game of which Silsden took the lead only for Shipley to equalize with a dodgy penalty decision. Shipley then took the lead only for Silsden to draw level and to make sure the game went into extra time again unfortunately Silsden had run of steam by this time and Shipley went on to win the game and the tournament. Silsdens team in goals Elliot Hollings and Josh Davies in defence Ollie Wrigglesworth, Luke Newton, Andy Kay and Damien Allen in midfield Joe Ridding, Tom Wilson, Kyle Wilkins, Danny Beaumont and Jack Kendall and the strikers Sam Woolley, Chris Armitage and Kieran Walker they all did Silsden proud

The Owners of Riverside have been in contact with the club with a view to stopping the use of their Car Park at all times. After a lengthy discussing the outcome is as follows:-

Can we please ensure that we use ONLY the Parking Spaces marked out in Riverside Car Park.

NO ONE MUST PACK ON THE YELLOW LINES, GRASSED AREAS OR ALONG THE EDGES OF THE CAR PARK. FAILING TO DO AS THEY REQUEST, WILL RESULT IN THE CAR PARK BEEN TAKEN AWAY FROM SILSDEN AFC FOR ANY FURTHER USE.

The Warehousing area at the rear of the building is being used by DHL. It is used 7 days a week and 24 hours per day. They cannot get their vehicles through at times.

Can we also remind parents etc. that they should not be bringing their cars into the cricket area and parking and certainly not down to the stand.

We also ask you to refrain from Road Side Parking which was discussed fully at the last  Juniors Meeting. There is every chance that this practice will result in a parking ticket.

We can’t stress enough the difficulties we will have if we are unable to use this Car PARK. With cooperation from EVERYONE using Riverside Car Park should continue.
