Silsden Ladies take part in the Annual Summer Womens 6-a-side Football Tournament held in Bradford's twin town of Hamm, Germany.
Held over two days, Silsden, the only British entry, finished a very creditable 5th out of a strong group of 20 teams from all over Germany, losing only once in their nine games, and that was a very slender 1-0 result. In fact, it was the only goal the Ladies conceded, winning five games and drawing the other three 0-0.
Silsden Manager Shaun Roberts said "The teams we took on, were champions of their respective leagues, so to finish in 5th place and to only concede one goal in 9 games leaves me with a lot of hope for the coming domestic season, however Silsden Ladies are always looking to improve"
The team consisted of keeper, Kristie Reynolds, defenders Vicki Ellis and Selina Steventon, midfielders Claire Hodgson and Carrie Kennedy with Jo Vasey up front.
